BATAVIA.. LeRoy McCHESNEY, 88, Batavia, former member of the Jefferson County Board of Supervisors, died Thurs. in Ottumwa. Raymond Funeral Home. Burial in Packwood Cemetery. Born Apr. 29, 1883, in Minonk, Ill., eldest son of Cassius and Flora BENNINGTON McCHESNEY. He came to Iowa with his parents in 1890. Married Iva. R. GILLETT who died in 1906; married Bessie NASON Sept. 4, 1943. Member Packwood Christian Church and Libertyville K.P. Lodge. Retired County employee. Survived by widow, three sisters, Mrs. Lena BARRON, Ames; Mrs. Carrie DICKINSON, Brighton, and Mrs. Blanche BALDWIN, Packwood; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. (Iva died Apr. 19, 1906.)
