Mrs. D. N. LYON, Packwood. Sarah Frances GILTNER, daughter of William and Harriet GILTNER, born in Wapello County Jan. 18, 1861, and died at her home in Packwood Oct. 11, 1923. Her girlhood days were spent near Agency and Martinsburg. Methodist Church. For nine years she taught in the public schools of Iowa and Kansas, the last term being in the Packwood School. On 28 June 1891 she was married to DeMarcus Newton LYON, coming at once to their home near Packwood. Two children, a son Orville GILTNER, who died in infancy , and Orissie at home. Leaves husband and daughter, a brother Zara GILTNER of Chicago, Ill., and a niece, Harriet NEFF, who has made her home with the family for several years. Two sisters, Mrs. Emma McMINN and Laura NEFF preceded her in death.... Interment Packwood Cemetery.
