Mrs. Elsie J. LIGGETT, 77, well known Jefferson County resident, died Sat. in Ottumwa. Resident of Packwood Community 31 years, living on a farm 6 miles n.w. of Fairfield since 1918. Born Sept. 15, 1872, Plymouth, Ind., daughter of Daniel and Annetta WITWER STUCK; married James W. LIGGETT in Plymouth, Ind. Dec. 19, 1889. He died Sept. 28, 1921. Survived by children: Mrs. Stella STEWART, Gladstone, Ill.; W. A. LIGGETT, Packwood; Lloyd LIGGETT, Hedrick; Mrs. W. R. NELSON, Cambridge, Ill.; Theodore LIGGETT, Fairfield; Mrs. Cecil H. NELSON, Batavia; Mrs. Lewis PEQUIGNOT Jr., Fairfield; also by one sister Mrs. Nettie YEICH, Plymouth, Ind., one brother, S. S. STUCK, also of Plymouth. Three children died in infancy, one daughter in 1941. Also preceded by two brothers and three sisters.
