Last Rites For Mrs. FERGUSON

Mrs. Mary FERGUSON, 82, died Tuesday night at the Jefferson County Hospital. She had been seriously ill the past week and in failing health the past two months. The family home is seven miles southeast of Fairfield.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home, with Rev. James W. Morris of Afton and Dr. Charles Sloca officiating. Burial will be in the Packwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Mrs. FERGUSON was born April 30, 1889, in Delvan, Ill., daughter of Arthur and Jane SCHUREMAN SCARBOROUGH. She married Earl FERGUSON on June 23, 1900 and he died on July 27 (sic - 25), 1957. She was a member of the Glasgow United Methodist Church.

She is survived by children: Helen, Don and Stanley FERGUSON of Fairfield; Mrs. Elsie BARKER of Wellman and Edwin FERGUSON of Keosauqua; 12 grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren; two brothers and one sister, Lewis SCARBOROUGH of Monteclair, Calif., Glen FERGUSON of Fairfield and Mrs. Helen RUSSELL of Ottumwa.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
