Charles EDMUND, 96, pioneer Packwood resident, born Sept. 24, 1856, in Sweden; died today in Polk township. Burial in Packwood Cemetery. He and his wife with two small children, Hjalmar and Sieger came to U.S. 1880, later to Packwood; in 1891 to farm one mile south of Packwood. Children born after arrival include Emanuel, Jennie, Carl and Etta; only Carl survives. One brother, Dr. H.A.A. EDMUND of Packwood survives. Wife died 1934.
