Mrs. Eva Lenora DOWNEY, 82, died Wed. at Jefferson County Hospital. Burial in Packwood Cemetery. Born June 10, 1890, Shelby Co. (Mo.?), daughter of Alma Maroni and Stella WHITE NEWBERRY; married Arthur DOWNEY Aug. 18, 1907, at Lamoni. He died in 1963. Farmed in Richland and Packwood area and moved into Richland 20 years ago. Mrs. DOWNEY assisted her son in the Downey Cafe for many years. Member LDS of Lamoni. Survivors are two sons, Roy of Richland and Don of Ollie; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth COPELAND, Fairfield; Mrs. Dorothy CLINGMAN of Hedrick; Mrs. Charlotte BOWDEN, Alomogordo, N.M.; one sister, Mrs. Nina KIDWELL, Minnesota; two brothers, Joe NEWBERRY, Clearwater, Fla., and Arthur of Lamoni. Preceded by three brothers.
