PACKWOOD. Walter "Snode" DAVIS, 77, died Sat. afternoon at the Jefferson County Hospital. He was a retired employe (sic) of the Hayes Elevator at Packwood. Born Apr. 4, 1889, in Camden County, Mo., son of Bill and Christina TROW DAVIS; married Zona POPE Feb. 12, 1910. Member Packwood Christian Church. Had resided in Jefferson and Wapello Counties for the last 45 years. Surviving are widow and two sons: Lee DAVIS, Fairfield; and Orville DAVIS. Ottumwa R.3; also two grandchildren; one brother, J. R. DAVIS, Packwood; and one sister, Mrs. Laura POLLY, Canyon City, Col. Two brothers and one sister are deceased.
