PACKWOOD. Jess W. COWGUILL, 81, retired Packwood farmer, died Sun. at Mercy Hospital in Fort Dodge. He was visiting his daughter in Rockwell City when he became ill and entered the hospital. Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. Made his home 1½ miles south of Packwood. He was born Mar. 10, 1882, in Keokuk County, son of Wm. and Gertrude WORLEY COWGUILL; married Hazel MOORMAN Sept. 24, 1918; she died July 22, 1962. Member Packwood Methodist Church and IOOF Lodge at Richland. Survived by children: Mrs. Clive CLARK, Rockwell City; Mrs. Charles GROSS, Claremont, Calif.; Mrs. Charles BRUST, LaCanada, Calif.; and Jay COWGUILL, Packwood; nine grandchildren. One brother, one sister and one granddaughter preceded him in death.
