James S. COWEN, well known retired farmer, died Sat. at Jefferson County Hospital. Burial in Packwood Cemetery. Born July 27, 1875, in Jefferson County, son of the late Silas and Marinda MONTGOMERY COWEN. Married in 1903 to Pearl ROBERTS, who died in 1907. Three years later on Aug. 10, 1910, he married Beulah WARBRITTON at West Plaines, Mo. Member Packwood Christian Church. Survived by wife and two sons, Charles of Packwood and Jack H. of Mt. Pleasant. Preceded in death by parents, three sisters, one son and one daughter.
