BRIGHTON -- Last rites will be Thursday for Roy F. CAMPBELL, Brighton, who died Monday at the Washington County Hospital in Washington.

The services Thursday will be at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Brighton with the Rev. Dave Higdon officiating. Burial will be in the Packwood cemetery.

Roy F. CAMPBELL was born May 9, 1906, in Jefferson County, son of John and Effie PAXSON CAMPBELL. He was married Jan. 22, 1930, to Alice RAINS who survives.

After farming for several years they moved to Richland in 1938 where he was employed at the Hoekstra Grocery Store. In 1949 they moved to Brighton where they operated the Roy and Alice Cafe, retiring in 1969.

In addition to his wife, CAMPBELL is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Terry McCLURG, Brighton, and Mrs. Rex HAGANS, Lake Oswego, Oregon; and five grandchildren.

He was a member of the Packwood Christian Church and the Knights of Pythias of Brighton.
