ADAMS, Raleigh C. -- Raleigh C. ADAMS, veteran of World War 1, and well known resident of Fairfield, died Saturday at Veterans Hospital in Iowa City .... Burial in Packwood Cemetery. Born Sept. 30, 1897, at Ollie, Iowa, son of Minor and Lillus DAVIS ADAMS, and was reared and educated in the Ollie community; married Dec. 9, 1921, at Packwood to Lila WOOLUMS. They moved to Fairfield in 1937. Member VFW, Last Chance Barracks of WW1 veterans, the Masons and the Eagles. Survived by wife and one daughter, Mrs. George VORHIES, Fairfield; two grandchildren, and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Minor ADAMS, Ollie; also the following brothers and sisters: Byron, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Elva CHURCH, Phoenix; Mrs. Hazel ANDERSON and James ADAMS, both of Waterloo; Joe, Rockford, Ill.; Willard, Ottumwa; Mrs. Henry MAIRET, Batavia, and Mrs. Florence BARKER, Fairfield. Preceded in death by two brothers and a daughter who died in infancy.
