KELLER, Forrest L. 'Sam' -- Forrest L. "Sam" KELLER, 76, of Fairfield, died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, at the Jefferson County Hospital Living Care Center in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Monte Knudson officiating. Interment will follow in Fell Cemetery in Libertyville.

Family visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to FCOC of Mount Pleasant, Jefferson County Relay for Life or Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary. Cards and memorials may be sent to 603 S. Sixth St., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. KELLER was born Oct. 19, 1931, in Van Buren County, the son of Delbert and Elizabeth EARNEST KELLER. He married Barbara SPEER in 1951, and they later divorced. He married Jean DAVIDSON ALLISON Dec. 6, 1986, in Libertyville.

Mr. KELLER served in the United States Army and the Army National Guard between 1955-1961.

He was employed as a truck driver for more than 30 years.

Mr. KELLER was a member of Faith Christian Outreach Church in Mount Pleasant. He was a past president of Fairfield Eagles Club No. 1927 and was a volunteer with the Birmingham Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife; nine children, Susan MUNTZ and husband Russell, Robert E. KELLER and wife Connie, Patricia HARWARD and husband Roger, Dawn BENTZINGER and husband Kevin, Michael KELLER and wife Tammy, Mary KLEIN, Jerry ALLISON and wife Kathy, Terry ALLISON and wife Karen and Steven ALLISON and wife Barbara; six grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six stepgreatgrandchildren; and six siblings, Betty TOPPING of Colorado Springs, Colo., Shirley RYAN of Marble Hill, Mo., Pete McCLARD of Jackson, Mo., Mildred FERGUSON of Keosauqua, Steve HISEL of Richland and Gerald HISEL of Clouquet, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather; one infant son, David; and one sister, Wanda McCLARD.
