VICKERS, Kristie I. --Kristie I. VICKERS, 50, of Keosauqua, died at 8:35 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua following a short illness.

A graveside service was at 2:30 p.m. today at Bonaparte Cemetery, with the Rev. Phil Campbell officiating.

Memorials to the Center Village activity fund may be mailed to the family at 504 Sixth St., Bonaparte 52620.

Ms. VICKERS was born Feb. 17, 1958, in Fort Madison, the daughter of Keith and Virginia RICE VICKERS.

Ms. VICKERS grew up in Bonaparte and had lived the past 32 years at Center Village, north of Keosauqua. She had worked for various employers in the area.

She attended Bethel Worship Center in rural Douds.

Survivors include her father and stepmother, Keith and Edith VICKERS of Bonaparte; two sisters, Kimberly PARKER of Farmington and Cindy VICKERS of Fairfield, Texas; two stepbrothers, David GARD of Des Moines and Jeff GARD of Bonaparte; and two stepsisters, Diane PETERSON and Deborah BENEDICT, both of Mount Pleasant.

She was preceded in death by her mother and one brother, Keith Earl VICKERS.
