HISER, Rosaline -- Rosaline HISER, 83, of Salina, died today, Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Arrangements are pending at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

HISER, Rosaline -- Rosaline HISER, 83, of Salina, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Salina Presbyterian Church. Interment will be at Salina Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Clarence Anderson and Michael Mosier officiating.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Mrs. HISER was born Nov. 21, 1924, at home in Salina, the daughter of Townsend and Naomi KRUMBOLTZ SCHILLERSTROM. She married Earnest HISER in January 1948 in Wapello County. He died July 3, 1957.

Mrs. HISER received her normal training at Parsons College. She taught in several one-room school houses in Jefferson County and taught at the State Training School in Eldora. She lived all her adult life in Salina where she was a photographer for 35 years.

Mrs. HISER was a member of Salina Presbyterian Church, where she served as secretary and treasurer.

She loved gardening and crocheting.

Survivors include four daughters, Sharon JOHNSON and husband Jan of Fairfield, Jennie BORGOMAINERIO and husband Russell of Salina, Rebecca LUTSIC and husband Rick of Johnson City, N.Y., and Ernestine TOPPING and husband Carl of Birmingham; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Dale SCHILLERSTROM of Lockridge.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Esther M. HAWK; and one brother, Herbert SCHILLERSTROM.
