HANSEL, Ron 'Ronsel' -- Ron "Ronsel" HANSEL, 34, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Pleasant Plain Friends Church in Pleasant Plain, with the Rev. Stan Bauer officiating. The body will be cremated. Inurnment will be in Friends Cemetery in Pleasant Plain.

Family visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Ron Hansel family. Cards and memorials may be sent to PO Box 1263, Hillsboro 52630.

Mr. HANSEL was born Oct. 2, 1973, in Lincoln, Neb., the son of Gary and Sharon DAVIS HANSEL.

Mr. HANSEL graduated in 1993 from Van Buren High School, where he played football. He was employed as a concrete and construction worker for Carlson Concrete for eight years and for Schaus-Vorhies Construction.

His hobbies included fishing, hunting and playing with his dogs.

Survivors include his mother, Sharon WEST of Hillsboro; his father, Gary HANSEL and wife Linda of Lincoln, Neb.; three siblings, Gary D. HANSEL, Shawn HANSEL and Tyler HANSEL, all of Lincoln, Neb.; and his grandparents, Homer and Wilma WEST of East Pleasant Plain.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents.
