SCHONER, Ruth E. DANIELSON -- Ruth E. (DANIELSON) SCHONER age 81, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008 at the East Florida Hospital in Orlando, FL.

As by her wishes, the body was cremated and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 7, 2008 with Rev. Dr. Richard Wallarab officiating.

Ruth E. DANIELSON SCHONER was born in Fairfield, IA on January 10, 1927 to the late Frank and Martha DANIELSON. She graduated from Fairfield High School with the class of 1944 and received her undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of Iowa. While in college, Ruth hosted her own radio show on the University of Iowa radio station. She also earned a Master's degree in Editorial Journalism at Iowa U.

Ruth was united in marriage with J. Elton SCHONER in Fairfield in 1957 and they later divorced.

She was employed by Mount Holyoke College, Massachusetts in their Information Bureau. Later, she was on the Editorial Staff of the Western Horseman Magazine in Colorado Springs, CO. After moving to Florida, she was employed by Martin Marietta Company and the TRW Corporation, editing their publications.

Ruth loved to read, sew and needlepoint. Her nieces fondly remember the beautiful little dresses she fashioned for them as children.

She is survived by her brothers; Chester DANIELSON (Lorene) of Fairfield, Charles DANIELSON (Connie) of Bella Vista, AR, sister Dorothy TRULSON (Stan) of Omaha, NE, seven nephews and five nieces.
