HYDE, Willard -- Willard HYDE, 90, of Clarksville, Tenn., died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center.

A funeral was held Saturday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel in Clarksville, Tenn., with the Rev. LeNoir Culbertson officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, with full military honors.

Mr. HYDE was born in Brighton, the son of Rutherford Burch HYDE and Maude Evelyn HAGAN HYDE.

Chief Warrant Officer 4 HYDE was retired from the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War. After his military career, he also retired from The Department of Defense.

Mr. HYDE was a member of Madison Street United Methodist Church, Queen City Masonic Lodge No. 761, National Sojourners Chapter 177 at Fort Campbell and the Retired Officers Association.

Survivors include his wife, Violet CUBBAGE HYDE of Clarksville, Tenn.; two sons, Willard Nelson HYDE Jr. of Richardson, Texas, and Jerry Lee HYDE of Clarksville, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.
