Richard J. MOSINSKI, 68,of Packwood, died this morning, Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at Jefferson County Memorial Hospital in Fairfield.

Arrangements are pending at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Richard J. MOSINSKI

Richard J. MOSINSKI, 68, of Packwood, died Thursday morning, Feb. 21, 2008, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

A funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield. Interment will be at Packwood Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Raymond Funeral Home, where a Wake service officiated by the Rev. Stephen C. Page will be held at 6 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Pekin Booster Club or St. Mary Catholic Church.

Mr. MOSINSKI was born May 27, 1939, near Polishville, the son of Chester Frank and Emilia Marie PECK MOSINSKI. He married Shirley BOUGHNER Aug. 22, 1959, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield.

Mr. MOSINSKI was a 1957 graduate of Fairfield High School. He farmed his entire career, and in addition to farming, he drove a school bus for Fairfield.

Mr. MOSINSKI was a Pekin sports fan, especially for his grandchildren. He restored his father's 1939 John Deere B and drove it on two tractor rides in 2007.

Mr. MOSINSKI was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield. He was a charter member of the Packwood Fire Department, retiring in 2001. He served on the Pekin School Board from 1980-1986, was a charter member of the Packwood Lions Club and was a charter member of the Pekin Booster Club.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, John and wife Tanya of Marion, Steve and wife Danita of Packwood, Mike and wife Donna of Nevada, Iowa, and Dan of McHenry, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard and Harold; and two sisters, Rose SCHILLERSTROM and Mary SOBASKI.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
