DILLAVOU, Luther L. "Butch" -- Luther L. "Butch" DILLAVOU, 65, of washington, Iowa, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at Washington County Hospital.

A celebration of life service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Jones Eden Funeral Home in Washington. Interment will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.

Visitation will be from noon until 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 2-4 p.m.

A general memorial has been established.

Mr. DILLAVOU was born July 20, 1942, in Burlington, the son of Luther C. and Dorothy Mae SIETZ DILLAVOU. He married Elizabeth G. SIMMONS Dec. 4, 1967, in East Moline, Ill.

Mr. DILLAVOU attended the Letts Consolidated Schools in Letts. He lived most of his adult life in Washington, Iowa, and surrounding communities. He worked at Northrup King Co. and Perfex. He worked as a janitor at Pizza Hut for eight years until his retirement.

Mr. DILLAVOU was a family man, and he enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards and teaching his children and grandchildren to play baseball. He was an Iowa Hawkeye, Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs fan.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tony CLARK of Knoxville and Mark DILLAVOU of Fairfield; two daughters, Renee LAMB and husband Jerry of Fairfield and Julie TARTER and husband Leon of Washington, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Donna CROW of Branson, Mo., Elaine DeVORE of Arkansas, Marilyn SNYDER of Muscatine and Peggy SEABA of Sigourney.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary RANDALL.
