KETCHAM, Forrest -- Forrest KETCHAM, 95, of Fort Madison, formerly of Jefferson County, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at home.

A service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Barr Memorial Chapel and Funeral Home in Fort Madison.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

KETCHAM, Forrest -- Forrest KETCHAM, 95, of Fort Madison, formerly of Jefferson County, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at home.

A service was held today at Barr Memorial Chapel and Funeral Home in Fort Madison.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children and may be mailed to 202 15th St., Fort Madison 52627.

Mr. KETCHAM was born Dec. 29, 1912, in Jefferson County, the son of Carl and Ethel WHITCOMB KETCHAM. He married Gertrude CONRADT.

Mr. KETCHAM lived much of his life in the Abingdon and Packwood area. He farmed in the Pleasant Plain area before being drafted during World War II. After his discharge, he worked at Sheaffer Pen Company for 30 years.

Mr. KETCHAM was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Shrine Club and American Legion. He also was a 25-year member of the Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his wife and one stepsister, Ruth GOEHRING.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Anna KETCHAM; one brother, Harold; and one sister, Eileen SCHNEIDER.
