SCHLICHER, Opal Marie -- Opal Marie SCHLICHER, 84, of Fairfield, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at home.
A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Jim Wotherspoon officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Memorials may be made to Kidney Dialysis of Jefferson County or First Baptist Church of Fairfield. Cards and memorials may be sent to 100 S. 14th St., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. SCHLICHER was born Feb. 3, 1924, near Athens in Clark County, Mo., the daughter of Lon and Ruth VICE GRAY. She married Frank J. SCHLICHER May 26, 1943. He died July 24, 1995.
Mrs. SCHLICHER was a mother and homemaker. She also was owner of Schlicher Plumbing and was a distributor for Valley Supply of Ottumwa.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fairfield and the Maxine Bates Circle.
She enjoyed baking cookies for her family, grandchildren and friends, as well as gardening.
Survivors include three children, Dale SCHLICHER and wife Karen of Farmington, David SCHLICHER and wife Janice of Fairfield and Daniel SCHLICHER and wife Carolyn of Brighton; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, George GRAY of Donnellson.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and 14 brothers and sisters.
