YOUNG. Delores L. -- Delores L. YOUNG, 72, of Knoxville, formerly of Richland, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, at Knoxville Area Community Hospital in Knoxville.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Richland United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bill Lane officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday at Gould Funeral Home in Richland.

A memorial has been established to Feed the Children.

Mrs. YOUNG was born April 8, 1935, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Leo V. and Sara E. NICKERSON FORINASH. She married Ben M. YOUNG Jr. Oct. 28, 1955, in Ottumwa, and they later divorced.

Mrs. YOUNG grew up in the Conesville area. She graduated from Richland High School in 1953 and from St. Joseph School of Nursing in Ottumwa. Mrs. YOUNG was a registered nurse and had worked at Jefferson County Hospital, Knoxville Community Hospital, Halcyon House in Washington and for Dr. T.R. Wolf in Richland.

She attended Richland United Methodist Church and was a member of the Richland Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Rose REYNOLDS of Fairfield; one son, Ben YOUNG of Basalt, Colo.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her mother of Fairfield; one brother, Dick FORINASH of Libety Center; and one sister, Charlotte DOWNEY of Richland.

She was preceded in death by her father and one son, Mike YOUNG.
