HERROD, Dolores M. "Dee" -- Dolores M. "Dee" HERROD, 75, of Denver, Colo., died Dec. 17, 2007, in Tucson, Ariz.

A memorial mass was held Dec. 28 in Denver. Interment was in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.

Mrs. HERROD was born Dec. 3, 1932, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Leon and Mary QUINN KURTZ. She married John A. HERROD May 30, 1959.

Mrs. HERROD was a 1950 graduate of Fairfield High School. She graduated from the Telegrapher's School in Crawfordsville, Ind., then worked at Western Union in Fort Madison from 1951-1958. She worked at Western Union of North Platte, Neb., as well and retired from King's Super Grocery Store in 1994.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Terry HERROD and Timm HERROD and wife Jennifer, all of Denver; one daughter, Dianne GOLLHOFFER of Portland, Ore.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pat RANDALL of Coralville and Jeri POWERS of Fort Madison; three brothers, Jim KURTZ of Salem, Greg KURTZ of Chino Valley, Ariz., and Dan KURTZ of Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jeanette KURTZ.
