FICKEL, John 'Ralph', Jr. -- John "Ralph" FICKEL Jr., 71, of Fairfield, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, after a long illness.

A private family service will be held at a later date. The body has been cremated.

Mr. FICKEL was born Jan. 31, 1936, in Fairfield, the son of John R. and Eleanor PARSONS FICKEL Sr.

Mr. FICKEL graduated from Fairfield High School in 1954 and from Parsons College in 1958. He served in the United States Army in the late 1950s and early 1960s. He was employed at Rockwell Standard until the mid-1970s.

Survivors include one son, Wayne and two sisters, Darlene BEACHAMP of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Alice BURTON of Carefree, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
