RUNYON, Robert G. -- Robert G. RUNYON, 52, of Stockport, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

Arrangements are pending at Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home of Mount Pleasant.

RUNYON, Robert G. -- Robert G. RUNYON, 52, of rural Stockport, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Chem-Gro Shop in Hillsboro, with the Rev. Dave Doerr officiating. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery.

Visitation began at 2 p.m. today at Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.

A memorial has been established to the the (sic) University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Chemo Suites.

Mr. RUNYON was born Jan. 31, 1955, in Keosauqua, the son of William L. and Ruth WATSON RUNYON. He married Beverly BURKHALTER Dec. 14, 1985, in Stockport.

Mr. RUNYON graduated from Harmony High School in Farmington and Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa. He worked for J.J. Nichting Company of Pilot Grove before returning home to farm with his dad. In the off season, he had custom applied fertilizer for Chem-Gro of Hillsboro and worked in the shop during the winter.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Rochelle ENGLE and husband Chuck of Fairfield and Chantelle at home; one grandson; one sister, Doris CARR of Keosauqua; and two brothers, Richard of Cheney, Wash., and Daryl of Hillsboro.

He was prededed in death by his mother and one brother, Larry.
