June Rosamond NEFF

June Rosamond NEFF, 90, formerly of Fairfield, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007, at Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

A service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Suzanne Swahn officiating. Burial will follow in North Hill Cemetery, north of Wayland.

Family visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Cards and memorials may be sent to 20252 Route J40, Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. NEFF was born March 18, 1917, the daughter of John E. and Winifred SHELLHORN DEMPSEY. She married Charles Frederick NEFF Oct. 22, 1938, in Kahoka, Mo. He died Jan. 7, 2005.

Mrs. NEFF lived most of her life in Fairfield. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1935 and was a homemaker.

Mrs. NEFF was a member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ of Fairfield and the Hannah-Ruth Fairfield Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy NEFF of Olathe, Kan., and Judy SNYDER and husband Eugene of Keosauqua; two grandchildren; three great-grandsons; one sister, Dorothy ARNOLD of Volant, Pa.; and two brothers, John DEMPSEY of Temple, Texas, and Bill DEMPSEY of Girard, Ohio.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one infant sister, Louise.
