WAGNER, David Glenn -- David Glenn WAGNER, 47, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2007, at his home in Peoria Heights, IL.

David was born November 6, 1959 to Victor and Delores SOMMERS WAGNER, then of Roanoke, IL.

He had married Pamela PETERSON in Bloomington, IL, in 1985 and later married Teresa HEBELER in Kansas City, MO in 1999.

David was preceded in death by one sister, Delene, and is survived by his parents of Peoria Heights, IL, three sisters, Vickren (Jeff) BILSLAND of Peoria, IL, VaNessa (Robert, Jr.) MARTIN, of Pekin, IL, Damara (Roger) MOHN of East Peoria, IL, and three brothers, Rick WAGNER, also of Peoria Heights, IL, Daryl (Carol) WAGNER of Chillicothe, IL and Nathan (Michelle) WAGNER of Peoria, IL. David also leaves behind three nieces, thirteen nephews, nine great-nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom he enjoyed immensely.

David graduated from Roanoke-Benson High School and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, IL, where he received both a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design and an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Architectural Technology in May 1984. David's architectural career path took him to many projects in such cities as St. Louis, MO, Dallas, TX, Washington, D.C., Kauai, HI, Atlanta, GA. and Fairfield, IA, where he enjoyed a variety of projects in the building and interior design field. David worked on projects at such firms as CRS Architectural, Dallas, TX, Studios, Inc. of Washington, D.C., Highwoods Anderson, Rosser Fabrap, AREG, LLC, of Atlanta, GA. David last worked in March 2006 at John Lippman and Associates, Inc. in Fairfield, IA, before he was stricken with brain cancer.

David will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He was an avid sailor, active in Explorers and enjoyed such sports and activities as scuba diving, kayaking, hiking, cycling, woodworking and automotive restoration. David totally restored a 1974 Porsche 914 in 2003, which was a dream for him. He enjoyed traveling, as he traveled throughout the United States and Europe in years past. He also enjoyed designing a dream home for his sister, VaNessa (and Robert, Jr.) MARTIN several years ago in Washington, IL. He was very interested in the preservation of historic homes and buildings.

Funeral services will be held at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home of Roanoke, IL on Sunday, August 19 at 5:00 pm. Pastor Steven Tibbitts will officiate.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded and David's ashes will be released at sea by kayak in Kauai, HI, by his loved ones.
