NIXON, Melba -- Melba NIXON, 66, of Bloomfield, formerly of Fairfield, died Monday, July 23, 2007, at Davis Center in Davis County.

A service will be held at a later date. The body has been cremated.

Arrangements are in the care of Wagler Funeral Home of Bloomfield.

Mrs. NIXON was born Nov. 1, 1940, the daughter of Vern and Mary Ann NIXON.

Survivors include two brothers, Wayne NIXON of Des Moines and Gary NIXON of Rochester, Minn.; two sisters, Donna LEPORT of Des Moines and Mary HARVE of New York; and special friend, Karen VILMONT of Washington, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
