Mrs. Naomi Eckard, one of the older residents of Round Prairie township, passed away Friday morning at 4 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Davis, near Glasgow. Heart trouble.
Miss Naomi Loving, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Loving, was born in Indiana Nov. 11, 1833. In 1859 she was united in marriage to Isaac B. Grant, who passed away March 20, 1899. To this union were born the following children; Mrs. Mary Davis of near Glasgow; James A. Grant, southeast of Fairfield; Thomas of Fairfield; Mrs. Anna McKee of Stockport; Mrs. Maggie Conder of Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Nina Hisel southeast of Fairfield, and one daughter, Martha, who died in infancy. In 1903 she was again united in marriage to James Eckard, who passed away in 1908. Mrs. Eckard was held in high esteem by everyone.
