DEATH OF ISAAC B. GRANT.
Mr. Grant was one of the pioneers of Henry and Jefferson Counties. He belonged to that class which has made the state famous and is fast passing from the stage of action. He saw Iowa grow from a wild territory where the savage roamed to a blooming garden, with teeming towns, and was an energetic factor in this civilization. Mr. Grant was born in Harrison County, Ind., April 2d, 1831, and died March 20th in Round Prairie township. He came to Iowa in 1840, and had since resided in Henry and Jefferson Counties. He was married to Naomi Loving February 24, 1859. Seven children were born of this union. One died in infancy and the others were with him during his last hours. In his death the wife of his youth loses an affectionate husband, his children a kind and loving father, and the community a loyal and upright citizen. Funeral services were held at the M.E. church in Glasgow by Rev. J. Lee.
