Mrs. Mary Jane Watkins, widow of the late Stephen Watkins, died Monday morning about 9 o'clock at the home of her son Jesse Watkins near Glasgow .... One of the oldest and best known residents of Jefferson County, having made her home near Glasgow for half a century. She was at the time of her death 84 years of age. She was the mother of ten children, three of whom, two sons and a daughter, had preceded her in death. Mr. Watkins died several years ago. She is survived by seven sons.
