DEATH OF MRS. MARY E. McELWEE.
Near Glasgow, Iowa, occurred the death of Mrs. Mary E. McElwee, March 10, 1892. She was born in Glasgow, Jan. 19, 1844. Her maiden name was Mary E. Cochran. She grew to womanhood, bright, intelligent, beloved by all - - residing in or near Glasgow - teaching school a number of terms in her early womanhood. M.E. church. Married to Mr. M. W. McElwee Aug. 25, 1868. Five children were born to them, one daughter, "Birdie," now married to Louis Kiger, and four boys, all living. . . . . Mr. McElwee died one year ago, the 12th March 1891, the anniversary of his death being the day on which Mrs. McElwee was buried. The funeral services conducted jointly by Rev. Jonathan Lee and Rev. E. Sampson.
