SIX, Mildred Eileen -- Mildred E. SIX, 100, formerly of Fairfield, died today, July 10, 2007, in Bellevue, Neb.

The funeral is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mike Metz officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Family visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Fairfield or the donor's choice.

Cards and memorials may be sent to 1403 Lorraine Ave., Bellevue, NE 68005.

Mildred Eileen SIX, 100, formerly of Fairfield, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007, in Papillion, Neb.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Mike Metz officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Six was born May 31, 1907, in Lakenan, Mo., the daughter of Harry E. and Pearl SHUMATE MYERS. She married Everett W. SIX Dec. 1, 1929, in Fairfield. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. SIX moved to Fairfield in 1922. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1926 and attended the Fort Madison Business College. She was employed by the Department of Transportation for 22.5 years.

Mrs. Six was a member of First United Methodist Church. Her memberships included Deborah Circle, Philathea Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women, with which she was district officer for seven years.

She enjoyed Bible studies, working in the church, traveling and craft-making.

Survivors include one daughter, Joan BOYD of Bellevue, Neb.; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Cecil MYERS of Davenport.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James SIX; three grandchildren; and one sister, Gwendolyn
