GOGGIN, Margurette W. 'Maggie' -- Margurette W. "Maggie" GOGGIN, 85, formerly of Ottumwa, died at 12:20 p.m. Monday, June 25. 2007, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.
A funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with Bill Payne officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa.
Visitation began at 10 a.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 5-7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children.
Mrs. GOGGIN was born Oct. 21, 1921, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Julius and Stella COURTOUS RECEVEUR. She married Gilbert E. PROSSER June 26, 1937. He died Sept. 3, 1967. She married John GOGGIN Feb. 14, 1980. He died March 23, 1985.
Mrs. GOGGIN was a resident of Ottumwa all her life. She worked at John Morrell & Co. for 22 years and Ballingall Hotel for nine years. She played music all her life, playing with Art Reifsnyder for 13 years and with the Ron Johnson Easy Listening Band since 1980.
She was a member of Davis St. Christian Church.
Survivors include two grandsons; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Louise ELLIS of Ottumwa.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Charlene PROSSER; one brother, Emanuel RECEVEUR; and three sisters, Jeanne THOMPSON, Julia ELLIS and Rose Marie RANDALL.
