Edna Mae HILL, 80, of Fairfield, formerly of Packwood, died at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

A funeral is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Packwood Christian Church, with the Rev. Harlan Van Voorst officiating. Interment will be in Packwood Cemetery in Packwood.

Family visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. The family also will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Memorials have been established to the Packwood Fire Department and Packwood Christian Church.

Mrs. HILL was born April 6, 1926, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of William and Pauline Martz HIPP. She married H. Ray HILL Sept. 25, 1946, at Methodist Church in Washington, Iowa. He died June 28, 1991.

Mrs. HILL lived her entire life in the Packwood community. She graduated from Packwood High School in 1944. She worked as a telephone operator in Packwood prior to her marriage.

Mrs. HILL was a member of the Sew and So Club of Packwood and the Christian Women’s Fellowship.

Survivors include one son, Harold R. HILL and wife Julie of Packwood; one daughter, Elaine WIKSTROM and husband Roger of Hampton, Minn.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Nettie STUCKER of Danville; and one brother, William HIPP of Packwood.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
