Dorothy E. HENDERSON

Dorothy E. HENDERSON, 77, of Fairfield, died from cancer Friday evening, Dec. 1, 2006, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Mike Metz officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.

Mrs. HENDERSON was born Feb. 19, 1929, in Eldon, the daughter of Noble and Beth CARR McINTOSH. She married T. L. HENDERSON. He died March 30, 2001.

Mrs. HENDERSON graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant. She taught for 30 years in Fairfield elementary schools.

She was a member of Methodist Women, PEO, Fairfield Women’s Club and Retired Teachers.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary STANLEY of Des Moines; one son, Karl HENDERSON, of Burlington; two brothers, Floyd McINTOSH of Fairfield and Dale McINTOSH of Eldon; and one half sister, Alyce WOODS of Green Valley, Ariz.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
