Tommy Dale HANSHAW, 58, of Anniston, Ala., died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006, at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.

A service was held Dec. 8 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. George Livesay officiating. Interment was in Anniston Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to VFW Post 924, PO Box 4310, Anniston, AL 36204.

Mr. HANSHAW was born Nov. 1, 1948, the son of Lloyd and Virginia HANSHAW.

Mr. HANSHAW was a native of Fairfield and a resident to Calhoun County in Alabama for 20 years. He was employed by Homeland Security and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served 21 years.

Mr. HANSHAW was a lifetime member of VFW 924. He was a Methodist.

Survivors include his wife, Gayle HANSHAW of Anniston; one daughter, Michelle HANSHAW of Lincoln; one son Jeffrey HANSHAW of Sylacauga, Ala.; two stepdaughters, Victoria JOHNSTON and Amanda HART of Oxford, Ala.; one sister, Linda LIVESAY of Montana; three brothers, Lenny HANSHAW of Northfork, Va., Kenny HANSHAW of Battle Creek and Larry HANSHAW of Granger; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gerry HANSHAW.
