BARTHOLOW, Margaret Courtney -- Margaret Courtney BARTHOLOW, 88, of Fairfield, died Wednesday morning, June 20, 2007, at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Keevin Koch officiating.

Interment will be in Fell Cemetery near Libertyville.

Family visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Sunday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.

Mrs. BARTHOLOW was born April 5, 1919, in Agency, the daughter of C.W. and Myrtle HOPKINS COURTNEY. She married George L. BARTHOLOW Sept. 19, 1937, in Lancaster, Mo. He died May 17, 1986.

Mrs. BARTHOLOW grew up in Agency and graduated as valedictorian of her class at Agency High School. She and her husband moved to Fairfield in 1938. She was bookkeeper (sic), working with her husband at George's Battery and Electric in New Chicago.

Mrs. BARTHOLOW was a member of First Christian Church. She also was a member of the Keep Young Club, Heritage Club, Chapter No. 39 Order of Eastern Star and Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary, working at the Bargain Box.

Survivors include three children, Saundra BLOOMQUIST and husband Louie of Fairfield, Richard BARTHOLOW and wife Karie of Las Vegas, Nev., and Karen BARTHOLOW of Denver, Colo.; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Thelma KRAFKA and Kathryn "Dutch" McCOMBS; and three brothers, Owen, Clarence and Charles COURTNEY.
