GOBLE, Theodore 'Ted' -- Theodore "Ted" GOBLE, 88, of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at home.

A graveside memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Packwood Cemetery in Packwood, with the Rev. Harlan Van Voorst officiating.

A general memorial has been established. Memorials may be mailed to the family at 3230 Arapaho Drive, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86406.

Arrangements are in the care of Gould Funeral Home of Richland.

Mr. GOBLE was born June 19, 1918, in Ainsworth, the son of George and Hazel HETHCOTE GOBLE. He married Arlene LAUDERDALE Feb. 10, 1947, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

Mr. GOBLE grew up in Ainsworth where he attended Ainsworth Methodist Church and Ainsworth schools, graduating in 1938. He farmed in Jefferson County in his early years, retiring in 1959 to become a carpenter. He worked in commercial building and at dams and powerhouses in Iowa, Arizona, California, Nevada, Colorado, Oregon, Washington and Idaho. He and his wife built a house; bought, renovated and sold houses; and owned and operated a motel. He retired in 1983 to spend time with family and travel. Mr. GOBLE and his wife moved to Lake Havasu City, where he delivered donuts for the Donut Post, in 1994.

Mr. GOBLE served in the U.S. Army 555th Quartermaster Corp, landing on Omaha Beach during the Normandy Invasion.

Mr. GOBLE was a member of Packwood Christian Church. He was a scoutmaster, voluteer fireman and charter member of the D Day Museum in New Orleans. He was also a member of Naaman Lodge No. 613, AF & AM and American Legion Post of Lewiston, Idaho.

He enjoyed square dancing, traveling, researching genealogy, golfing and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Christie GOBLE of Apple Valley, Calif; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one sister, June PAULY of Fort Madison.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant daughter, Georgia Anne; one son, Steven; twin sisters, Velma and Zelma; and
