LYON, Kerry J. -- Kerry J. LYON, 45, of Richland, died early Sunday, June 3, 2007, at home.
A Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Keota, with the Rev. Charles J. Fladung officiating. Burial will be in Clay Cemetery near Richland.
Open visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Gould Funeral Home in Richland. Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the church, with Prayers for a Christian Wake at 7 p.m.
A general memorial has been established. Memorials may be mailed to the family at 32658 305th St., Richland 52585.
Mr. LYON was born July 26, 1961, in Moline, Ill., the son of Denny and Myrna MILBURN LYON. He married Jackie WEHR Jan. 9, 1982, in Washington.
Mr. LYON was raised in the Kinross-North English area and graduated from Keota High School in 1979. He attended Scott Community College in Bettendorf. Mr. LYON helped raise hogs for Ed Greiner and had worked at Quad Cities John Deer (sic) Plow and Planter as a security guard before moving to Peoria, Ariz., where he worked as a heating and air conditioning installer. He returned to Iowa in 1992 and worked for Roe Heating and Refrigeration in Washington, Iowa. He most recently worked for McFarland Heating and Air Conditioning of Riverside.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Ashley LYON of Riverside and Brittany LYON of Richland; one son, Derek LYON of Washington, Iowa; his mother of Davenport; six brothers, Keith LYON of Brighton, Korey LYON of Sunrise, Fla., Kelly LYON of DeWitt, Kasey LYON of Davenport, Kleat LYON of Bettendorf and Kolen LYON of Geneseo, Ill.; and one sister, Kathy WALSH of Davenport.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Henry and Dorothy LYON and Myrtle and Oscar MILBURN.
