FOREMAN, Helen P. -- Helen P. FOREMAN, 92, formerly of Batavia, died today, Wednesday, June 6, 2007, Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

Arrangements are pending at Kremer Funeral Chapel in Batavia.

FOREMAN, Helen P. -- Helen P. FOREMAN, 92, formerly of Batavia, died Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Kremer Funeral Chapel in Batavia, with the Rev. Thomas Shipley officiating. Interment will be in Batavia Cemetery.

Open visitation is from noon to 8 p.m. today at the chapel.

Memorials may be directed to Batavia Public Library.

Mrs. FOREMAN was born Dec. 13, 1914, in Phillipsburg, Kan., the daughter of Joseph and Etta HITE FRANCIS. She married Earl W. FOREMAN Sept. 9, 1933, in Fairfield. He died in 1990.

Mrs. FOREMAN lived most of her adult life in Batavia, where she was the librarian at the Batavia Public Library for many years.

She was a charter member of the Peoples Church of Batavia.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth FOREMAN and wife Judy of Batavia; one daughter-in-law, Ruth Ann FOREMAN of Batavia; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Florence SELF BINGMAN of Italy, Texas.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Merlin and Charles FOREMAN; three brothers, Howard, Robert and Glen FRANCIS; and two sisters, Melva CHAPMAN and Mable MEIXNER.
