Ruth Delores GODWIN

Ruth Delores GODWIN, 68, of Fairfield died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.

A service is set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frosty Van Voorst officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Open visitation is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, with the family present from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Jefferson County Cancer Society. Online condolences may be sent via www.behnerfh.com .

Mrs. GODWIN was born March 8, 1937, at home in Glasgow, the daughter of Russell and Mary MORRIS KELLER. She married Glenn GODWIN Feb. 17, 1961. He died Sept. 13, 1980.

Mrs. GODWIN grew up in the Fairfield area. She was a certified nurse’s assistant at Parkview Care Center, Nelson Nursing Home and Presbyterian Home in Washington. She was a librarian at the Packwood Library and involved with Meals on Wheels at the Fairfield senior Center.

Survivors include three children, Wesley GODWIN of Packwood, Gail and husband Todd BROWN of Richland and Mary WOODSON of Mount Pleasant; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; two sisters, Ruby DIMMITT and Maxine KELLER, both of Fairfield.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Lydia KELLER.
