SHONDEL, Clyde Lonzo Jr. -- Clyde "Jr." Lonzo SHONDEL Jr., 58, of Douds, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, at Riverpark Health Care Center in Rock Island, Ill.

A funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Ed Parker officiating. Interment will be in Iowaville Cemetery in Selma.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A lunch for family and friends will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Nazarene Family Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sandy RUPE.

Mr. SHONDEL was born Nov. 19, 1948, in Fairfield, the son of Clyde and Grace DENNISTON SHONDEL. He married Sandra RUPE.

Mr. SHONDEL worked at Dexter in Fairfield and then became a meat cutter for Cargill in Ottumwa.

He was a member of Ottumwa Eagles Club.

Survivors include his wife; four children, Shawn SHONDEL of Mount Pleasant, Jamie SHONDEL of Lone Tree, Tony RUPE of Eldon and Cecil RUPE of Ottumwa; six grandchildren; five brothers, Fred SHONDEL of Humansville, Mo., Mike SHONDEL of Fairfield, Doug SHONDEL of Fairfield and Larry SHONDEL of Fairfield; five sisters, Ella GREINER of Washington, Iowa, Sheri of Ottumwa, Anna WAGNER of Fairfield, Charlotte DONAHUE of Fairfield and Tina SCOTT of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Debra HEDQUIST and Mable SHONDEL; and two brothers, Robert SHONDEL and Herbert SHONDEL.
