REICHERT, Betty Joan -- Betty Joan REICHERT, 77, of 901 S. Seventh St., died Thurdsay, May 24, 2007, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at New Life Community Church, with the Rev. Jim McGaffey officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Family visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, where a register may be signed after 5 p.m.

Memorials may be made to New Life Community Church of Alzheimers research.

Mrs. REICHERT was born Dec. 26, 1929, in Pierceville, the daughter of Eberly and Mabel SLEE DODDS. She married John REICHERT Oct. 9, 1949, in Fairfield.

Mrs. REICHERT graduated from Stockport High School in 1948. She lived most of her life in the Fairfield area. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. REICHERT was a member of New Life Community Church. Her hobbies included canning, cooking, gardening and spending time with family.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Kimberly Joan MILLS and husband Mark of Coal Valley, Ill.; one granddaughter; three step-grandchildren; one stepgreat-granddaughter; three sisters, Shirley CROSKERY of Donnellson, Virginia MORRISON of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Darlene "Deanie" LAZENBY of Keosauqua; and one brother, Jerry DODDS of West Branch.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Eberly (Jr.) "Squire" DODDS; and two grandchildren.
