MOORE, Harold M. -- Harold M. MOORE, 71, of Blue Grass, died Monday, May 7, 2007, at home.
Celebration of Life services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Blue Grass Presbyterian Church in Blue Grass. Burial will be in Blue Grass Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Weerts Funeral Home in Davenport.
Memorials may be made to the Harold M. MOORE Memorial Fund, in care of Martha MOORE, for the family's selection of appropriate memorials throughout the Blue Grass community.

Mr. MOORE was born April 26, 1936, in Buffalo, the son of Harold and Hazel MOORE. He married Martha LANGNER June 8, 1958, in Fairfield.
Mr. MOORE moved to Blue Grass as a young child and graduated from Davenport High School. He completed his bachelor's degree at Parsons College in Fairfield and his master's degree in elementary education at State University of Iowa. He returned to his hometown and was the first principal of Blue Grass Elementary School for 24 years, then of Eisenhower Elementary School for 13 years. While working in Blue Grass, the street to a new park was named Moore Street in his honor after the school's children voted to do so. He retired in 1995 to travel and spend time with family and friends.
Mr. MOORE was a member and elder of Blue Grass Presbyterian Church for 59 years, serving on Session and many committees.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Nancy SQUIRE and husband Art; two sons, Jeff MOORE and Bruce MOORE and wife Margaret; 17 grandchildren; one brother, Gerald MOORE; and three sisters, Sharon HUTCHISON and Pauline STEVIE, Virginia PICKERELL.
