LONDQUIST, Virginia May -- Virginia May LONDQUIST, 87, of Fairfield, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Mike Metz officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Fairfield. Cards and memorials may be sent to 215 Barrett St., Burlington 52601.

Mrs. LONDQUIST was born Oct. 18, 1919, in Richland, the daughter of D. H. and Ethel May HAWORTH CHACEY. She married Gerald LONDQUIST Sept. 18, 1941. He died July 19, 1997.

Mrs. LONDQUIST graduated from Richland High School in 1937.

Mrs. LONDQUIST was a homemaker.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Guild Circle.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, playing cards and watching television.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry LONDQUIST and wife Saundra of Burlington and Tom LONDQUIST and wife Vicki of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Nancy LONDQUIST; three brothers, Donald, Orville and Homer CHACEY; and one sister, Eloise ALLISON.
