LAWSON, Roxie L. -- Roxie L. LAWSON, 72, of Keosauqua, died at 5:10 a.m. today, Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Dibble Cemetery south of Stockport, with the Rev. John Griffith officiating.

Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, where family will be present from 6-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at PO Box 396, Keosauqua 52565.

Mr. LAWSON was born July 25, 1934, near Stockport, the son of Alfred V. and Blanche KLISE LAWSON. He married Carol A. NELSON Feb. 20, 1954, in Kahoka, Mo. She died July 20, 1993. He married Janet KISLING KELLER Jan. 1, 1995, in Ottumwa.

Mr. LAWSON graduated from Bonaparte High School and was a telephone technician his entire career. He had been employed in Burlington, Muscatine and Arizona City, Ariz. He returned to Van Buren County in 1995 and had entered the Good Samaritan Center Wednesday.

Mr. LAWSON was a member of Stockport Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Terry DUKE of Chicago and Linda MODERSOHN and husband Dick of Sunapee, N.H.; one stepson, Leland KELLER and wife Melody of Enid, Okla.; two stepdaughters, Lisa MAST and husband Darrell and Jo Ellen KELLER of Fort Myers, Fla.; six stepgrandchildren; and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren.

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ellen; and one grandson.
