EASTER, Marjorie – Marjorie EASTER, 88, of Bonaparte died at 5:55 a.m. today, Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

Arrangements are pending at Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Farmington.

EASTER, Marjorie Eva – Marjorie Eva EASTER, 88, of Bonaparte, died at 5:55 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

Born January 17, 1919 at Mt. Sterling, Iowa, she was the daughter of Frank and Edith SHRIVER TROUTMAN. On August 15, 1942 at Edina, Missouri, she married Charles William EASTER. He preceded her in death on December 27, 2005.

Survivors include one son: James Michael (Susie) EASTER of Donnellson; one daughter: Teresa Lynn (Dennis) DELKER of Fairfield; four grandchildren: Maria Dawn GAPIN, Jamie EASTER, Jessica DELKER and Allison DELKER; one great grandson: Clark GAPIN; one sister-in-law, Roberta ROBERTS and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, one son Frank Gregory EASTER, one grandson Jason Gregory DELKER, two sisters: Edith TROUTMAN and Dorothy KECK, and one brother: Lloyd TROUTMAN.

Marge was a graduate of Bonaparte High School and St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in October of 1941. She was a Registered Nurse for the Van Buren County Hospital and Good Samaritan Center and was a member of the Bonaparte United Church. After retirement, Marge assisted her husband at many craft shows with his woodcarvings and in their craft business they operated in Bonaparte and Bentonsport. She enjoyed painting, and she and her husband were instrumental in the formation of the Township Stores in Bonaparte. Marge was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, attending every softball game in Fairfield, up until her health didn’t permit it. She was known throughout the community for her homemade cookies and baked pies.

Her body has been cremated. A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Bonaparte Cemetery in Bonaparte, Iowa. A memorial has been established to the Bonaparte Library. Memorials may be sent to Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home, P.O. Box 56, Donnellson, Iowa 52625.

Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home of Farmington is in charge of arrangements.
