E. Roberta COON, 79, of Morton, formerly of West Peoria, died at 7:55 AM on Sunday, May 13, 2007 at Morton Terrace Care Center.

She was born on December 29, 1927 in Keokuk, Iowa to Edward and Jenny STREEBY McCARTY.

Surviving is her son, Jeffrey (Deborah) COON of Goodfield, IL; daughter, Julie (Tom) McAVOY of Morton, IL; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 6 brothers and sisters.

Roberta was most recently a housekeeper for Bradley University in Peoria, IL, and had been the housekeeping supervisor at Eureka College in Eureka, IL.

She was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Peoria, IL.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington, IL. The Rev. Tom Swanson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM, one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton, IL.

Memorials may be made to the the Church of the Brethren, 4714 N. Sheridan Road, Peoria IL 61614.
