BESICK, Laura M. -- Laura M. BESICK, 73, of Bettendorf, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2007, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial of cremains will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Douds.

Family visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials to American Cancer Society may be left at the funeral home or mailed to family at 3702 Clover Hills Drive, Bettendorf 52722.

Mrs. BESICK was born April 13, 1934, in Keokuk, the daughter of James C. and Ferne RICE BRYANT. She married Gerald E. BESICK of Douds, Sept. 14, 1957, in Kahoka, Mo.

Mrs. BESICK grew up in Keokuk and spent her married life in Bettendorf. She was a homemaker and baby sitter for neighbors.

Survivors include her husband; one brother, James BRYANT Jr. of Springfield, Mo.; and one sister, Betty Lou NOVAK of Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Leo BRYANT; and one sister, Joann.
